On January 11, 2012, Monster Beverage Corporation announced that its Board of Directors approved a 2-for-1 stock split of its common stock to be effected in the form of a 100% stock dividend. On February 15, 2012, each stockholder will receive one additional share of common stock for each share of common stock owned at the close of business (Eastern Time) on February 6, 2012.  A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.

MONSTER BEVERAGE BOARD DECLARES TWO-FOR-ONE STOCK SPLIT

 

Corona, CA - January 11, 2012 — Monster Beverage Corporation (NASDAQ:MNST) (the “Company”) today announced that its Board of Directors has approved a 2-for-1 split of its common stock which will be effected in the form of a 100% stock dividend.  On February 15, 2012 each stockholder will receive one additional share of common stock for each outstanding share of common stock held at the close of business (Eastern Time) on February 6, 2012.  Upon completion of the stock split, the number of outstanding shares of the Company’s common stock will double to approximately 174.3 million shares.
